A livello prettamente musicale, a rendere interessante la riedizione sono indubbiamente il nuovo mixaggio in 5.1 contenuto nel Blu-Ray Disc - realizzato da Alan con l'aiuto di P.J. Olsson e Jeff Fitzpatrick lo scorso mese di aprile presso gli studi Capitol Records di Hollywood - e il materiale inedito costituente il secondo e terzo CD. Di rilievo anche la presenza, sempre nel Blu-Ray Disc, della versione stereo originale in alta definizione, mentre per il resto si tratta di materiale già precedentemente edito.
Un'operazione indubbiamente a carattere commerciale, prettamente indirizzata ai molti collezionisti, ma che non manca di offrire materiale mai ascoltato prima, di sicuro interesse per lo zoccolo duro dei fan del Project e per gli appassionati del surround.

In occasione del 35° anniversario di Eye In The Sky e della relativa ripubblicazione in cofanetto, è stato lanciato anche un nuovo mixaggio del celebre strumentale Sirius, riletto in chiave moderna nella speranza di riuscire ad attirare anche il pubblico più giovane verso la musica dell'Alan Parsons Project. La nuova versione è stata battezzata Sirius 2017 (Disco Demolition Remix) ed è stata realizzata dal produttore denominato Disco Demolition - facente parte della scuderia Ministry Of Sound, la nota discoteca londinese nonchè etichetta discografica dance - con lo zampino dello stesso Parsons. "In realtà l'idea prese vita senza che io lo sapessi", racconta lo stesso Alan, riferendosi a come l'iniziativa sia nata dalla casa discografica Sony Legacy. Ma all'ascolto del remix iniziale prodotto da Disco Demolition, Alan ha ritenuto che con un suo contributo diretto si sarebbe potuto ottenere un risultato decisamente migliore. "Pensavo fosse ok, ma ho detto: 'Ritengo sia soltanto ok. Se ci fosse stato il mio coinvolgimento avremmo potuto fare di meglio'. Prima ci sentimmo telefonicamente, poi on-line e riuscimmo realmente a collaborare in tempo reale, ascoltando come il mixaggio si evolveva. Penso che alla fine sia ottimo. Il primo remix deviava troppo dall'originale. Ritengo che con questo abbiamo catturato lo spririto dell'originale". Il brano è disponibile dal 15 settembre, unicamente come digital download.
